Body
color: Deep medium blue with metal flake and a touch of
pearl, looks like blue anodized aluminum. Competition numbers (351)
are static cling.
Stripes: Light beige metal flake with a touch of
pearl. Two main stripes plus twin “guard stripes”.

- The hardtop
has been upholstered on the outside to look identical to the convertible
top and side curtains (same fabric and color). The inside is upholstered

Handling and
ride
The car handles extremely well on the track yet is still fully steet-legal.
The suspension can be tuned from competition firm to cruising soft
in 1 1/2 hours.
- The front
and rear suspensions are quickly adjusted for ride height and
shock rate.
- The rear
springs can be changed in less than 15 minutes.
- The rear
suspension, built by Urbine Peformance, is a 3 link with panhard
bar similar to the latest Mustang components.
- The car,
without driver is 51%/49% F/R weight distribution and with driver
is 49% / 51% this excellent distribution is due to the basic chassis
layout and the large number of upgraded aluminum components under
the hood.
Recent performance
- This car
has never lost to another Cobra replica including Factory 5 and
Superformance models in the 7 years it has competed in solo events.
- Even before
the rear suspension was upgraded the car took many firsts and
seconds in Regional and Divional SCCA Autocrosses in B- Prepared
and E-Mod.
- Since the
suspension and shock upgrades I had 2 1st and a 2nd in the recent
SCCA SM-2 class. The 2nd place finish was to a co-driver in the
same car.
- The very
recent addition of the power steering has further improved the
performance of the car on tight courses and greatly eases driver
effort under all circumstances.
- Currently,
competion rims are 16 x 8. There is sufficient clearance to accommodate
10” front and 12” rear.
Optional extras
- Lightweight,
professional built, custom steel 4500 lb capacity trailer with
electric brakes on both axels. Weighs only 1.200 lbs, allows towing
behind many minivans and compact SUV’s. Brand
new. Additional $2,200.
- Second set
of wheels – 16”x8” mounted with Kumo DOT legal
autocross tires. $500.
